The Story

One family. Seventy years. The same standard.

Radiant Isle is run by the third generation of a Sri Lankan gem family. We have traded since the 1950s, exported since the 1980s, and worked from the United States since 2025.

1950sThe Founding

Sri Lanka has sold gems to the world for two thousand years. Our grandfather joined that trade in the 1950s, in Galle. He bought rough from the mines near Ratnapura and cut it on the coast. He did not travel to find buyers. Dealers from India and Thailand flew to Sri Lanka and bought at his table. His rule still stands: never sell a stone you would not buy back.

1980sThe Export Era

In the 1980s, our father's generation made the house a licensed gem exporter. The old trade reversed: instead of buyers flying to Galle, our parcels flew to them, first to India and Thailand. In the same years we placed our own buying agents in East Africa, and their rough came back to our cutting wheels.

2000sAsia, Then Europe

Export by export, the list grew: Bangkok, Hong Kong, mainland China. Then Europe, where buyers ask the hardest questions about origin and treatment, and customs wants the cleanest papers. These markets do not stay with a weak supplier. They have stayed with us for decades.

2025America

In 2025 we opened our office in Houston, Texas. The third generation now sells on a third continent. American jewelers ask where a stone was mined, who cut it, and what was done to it. We have spent seventy years answering those questions. The workshop in Gintota still cuts every stone. Houston answers in your time zone.

How We Work

Four rules. Three generations. No exceptions.

01

We tell you first.

Every treatment is written down before you buy: heat, clarity work, everything. There are no surprises later.

02

We expect the lab.

We grade every stone as if you will send it to GIA tomorrow. Send it. The report will match our paper.

03

We repeat our quality.

One beautiful parcel wins an order. A hundred equal parcels keep a client. Our oldest clients have stayed for decades.

04

The name is on the stone.

Every sale carries the family name to the next generation. Our grandfather's rule still stands: never sell a stone you would not buy back.

The Next Chapter
